no cigar I'm afraid - I get exactly the same results :(
I'm actually doing it in javascript under IE - I didn't like to say before
in
case I frightened you *nix guys away :D The regex syntax is the same
though.
The matching works fine as long as there are no carriage returns in the
text
(which is a multi line input box in a web page).....
