I've had a 21" Sony (G400 I think) running at 1600 x 1200 for years
and it looks great. I'm pretty sure they do a 24" version that runs
at higher res, so that is probably worth a look.

Actually, just checked at www.digiuk.com and there is the F520 which
is a 21" capable of going to 2048 x 1536!
