So have I and it's not too bad for noise, comparative with the old Panny
PTAE-100 IMO and I found the cure for it anyway, turn up the volume. ;)

The great thing about the HS10 is the total lack of the fabled
"chicken
wire" effect that plagues a great many LCD projectors, but since I've
not
been looking to replace this one since I'm perfectly happy with it, I have
no idea what any of the newer ones are like.

The AV forums would be a better place to ask.
