Point taken Mark!

I'd still keep the originals but probably look to creating a calander based
filing system ie everything scanned by month. That way if I wanted to
retrieve the original I'd just need to look up the scanned date and then
ferret through a single file eg Jan 2004 to find the original.

This assumes I start from a set point and not try and apply this
retrospectively!
