Not an HV expert, but to see the overlay you have the video "going
through" the HV so it can do the overlay thing.  If you are
modulating everythuing onto coax (which is what I did in my last
place for all the tellys except the lounge) then CV is not a barrier
to quality.

Yep, it means composite video.

But back in the days when I fancied an HV, I toyed with the idea of
having dual video distribution, and switching monitors by IR between
(say) RGB and CV so that non-overlaid TV lookled "better".
