I have no idea, I've got a couple sitting at my parents house - i'll
give them a quick test and let you know.

i'm not 100% sure but I think the stuff i've used is rubber
sheathed.  Failing that just whack it in a piece of hosepipe and
hope for the best ;P

True, but my experience has been with pre-terminated patch leads,
just a bit of a large hole in the wall afterwards.....
