Ian,

They came from Tesco, and were/are on special, 2 for =A35 IIRC.

And are Status, 11w. but I also got a 13W Eddy screw bulb and that comes on
normally too.

They still interfere with my IR setup  but only for a few seconds.

This is no longer the case, I recently got some new low energy lamps and

e
come on full brightness when they switch on.
