I know someone else suggested Ontrack but did you see that they do
have specific tools for .pst file repair or recovery?

I know they're exepensive but it might even be worth giving them a
call or dropping them an e-mail to see if it's even worth trying or
if they've heard of this type of failure before?
They promise to give you a quote back in two hours if you fill this
