Sorry if this is reposted, Yahoo fell over last time
Ian,
Hope this helps
1. You need to have an MPEG decoder on your Laptop for this to work.
It also needs to be one that is compatible with MCE such as NVidia
DVD Decoder, WinDVD 5 or 6 or PowerDVD 5.
2. DVR-Edit from the GreenButton is fine but a number of people have
reported problems with more than about half a dozen edits. If
editing the adverts out of an hour programme this should be fine if
doing the same with a film, which may have 20 edits, it will fall
over. Have a look at Sonic MyDVD Studio Deluxe. This comes with many
recommendations from others although have yet to try it myself.
3. Not sure but would ask if the software AP can be configured for
VPN passthrough, even many hardware APs can't do this.
4. You will need to replace the card with a DVB as you cannot have
different formats in a twin tuner installation. This is a limitation
of the EPG which must work on exactly the same channel line-up.
Regards,
Stuart
