Crimping is always best (IMHO) but can be expensive as crimpers themselves
cost 40 quid+ (sometimes much more dependiong on quality).

The screw (read cheap) type seem to work ok but can come loose.

Have a look at www.rswww.com for f-type crimp connectors

Hi,

I have never used f type connectors before, so I am a bit confused.
Having looked at a certain electronics web site, there seem to be
crimp type and screw type connectors. Is one better than the other?
How do you assemble the connector? With the crimp type, do you need
a special crimping tool and if so, how much does that cost?

Thanks & Merry Christmas
