My phone line comes into the house by the front door at hand height - even
the stupidist burglar could cut it so I will need a GSM backup.

I wanted ADSL on the line so it sounds like I will need an extra line for
this. Perhaps I can get them to move the existing one / maybe even bury it.

We use Redcare at offices with Dual signalling, GSM & POTS, remember
that if
you have Redcare, you need a clean line with Fax or Modems on.
