RE: Ethernet Boards




I don't have one but do have a temperature controlled soldering iron. I
use a .8mm tip for all my smt soldering without any problems. There is a
knack to it though which I am happy to share if anyone wants to be
enthralled into a coma like sleep.

My attempts at removing smt components with a hot air gun have been
moderately successful but always resulted in the comprehensive destruction
of the PCB.
