If your sources are all routed through your switch-box to your TV, then get
hold of an adaptor like:

Maplin part WN53H ( http://tinyurl.com/5fvwh )

And fit it between the TV and the switch-box to break-out the audio and
then
into the hifi.

Hello,

Hope this hasn't been answered before, but I've looked in the archive and I
can't find it.

I'm trying to sort out my AV setup so I can run the sound through the aux
input of the hi-fi.

I have
TV - 1 Scart socket
Video - 1 Scart socket
DVD - 1 Scart socket
PS1 - 1 Scart socket
Freeview (not here yet but on the way)
Hi-fi - Phono sockets for L and R audio.
I also have 4 to 1 Scart multi adapter and scart to phono converter lead,
scart plug with six connectors on the back, three in and three out, yellow
red and white.

Can I connect this up in some way so that the sound from all devices always
goes to the hi-fi? Or do I need extra kit to do a better job?

Finally, what do people use as a low(ish) cost universal remote that isn't
just limited to the standard tv, video, satellite options but is user
programmable to emulate any command from any device. Once all this is
working, including the freeview, I'd like to have one remote for the lot.
The Pronto stuff is nice, but a bit above my budget...

Cheers,

Simon
