RE: [ADVERT] [that is 100% ADVERT ;-) ] Hauppauge MVP

I think it all tends to come down to perspective - and that changes whether
you're buying or selling.

If you're doing a "bulk buy" in the true sense of the word (Ken
with the
SliMP3's, Graham with the DDARs, Gareth with the Fujis and I think it was
Dr. John with the WiFi cards) then there's a lot of work involved - it's
no=
t
just a case of phoning up some company and saying "I want 238 of your
electronic laser clinkershifter.", there's sorting out the cash and
keeping
track of who wanted what and who's paid for what, import, shipping and God
knows what else. In this case then the "bulk buyer" puts in a lot
of effort
and to be quite honest why the f*ck shouldn't they get something out of it
=
-
especially if they're running some degree of risk themselves (Gareth had a
few Fujis that were DOA which obviously no-one would buy).

Problem is that the "customers" expect that the price they've
seen on the
original advert is the price they should expect to pay - and tend to bemoan
even paying shipping let alone any possibility of being stung for import
duty / VAT or chipping in something for someones efforts.

It's human nature to grumble... :-D

Personally - if you've got them there then you can sell 'em for whatever
yo=
u
want. If people aren't happy that you're making a fiver for your trouble
(remember you've already bougfht them so have shelled out your cash) when
they probably aren't going to find any anyway anywhere else then they can
g=
o
without or buy from somewhere else...

Phil
