We must be PC challenged here.

2 x laptops (mummi and daddi), 2 x dell desktops (teenagers), err...
thats it. All running XP(*).

For file storage theres a snapserver, and two linksys EFG80s for
backups. After that its just terminal servers, print servers etc.

Even when I redo the wiring and automation, I only expect to gain
maybe one more PC, which will be the AV machine, if I decide to go
that route. And may be I'll dig out a Fujitsu or two from the
garage.

The only other PC I need (of the piles of assorted wreckage of
history, including a raq2 and a Sun V100) is an old 486 with an I2C
analyser card in it, as its (a) an ISA card, and (b) doesnt like
fast machines. However, this only gets used rarely.

(*) Of course, as mentioned previously, daddi's laptop runs Virtual
PC, so I can run linux, DOS and Windows/98 simultaneously, so i no
longer need a pack of machines and a KVM like the good old days.
