Re: C-Bus reaction time

I have installed the Clipsal in ceiling combined PIR, light sensor
and IR receiver in the landing ceiling. Once I have finished
alterations to the house I will end up with a corridor off of the
landing that goes around to the new part of the house I intend to use
the surface mount versions of the same sensor to provide switching of
these lights as well.

I haven't had chance to play with the setup in my house yet as I am
working away for a couple of weeks and didn't get chance to program
all the CBUS kit before I left. However when I was on the CBUS course
I got hold of one of the in-ceiling PIR's to play with (you get the
surface mount one as part of attending the course) and I couldn't
tell any discernable lag.

My plan is to have the lights slowly ramp to a percentage as someone
moves from say a bedroom to the main bathroom during the night.

The PIR sensor has seperate software control over what effect the
light level sensor and PIR have on the CBUS network (turn on all
lights, scenes, gradual ramp up and down, that sort of thing) or they
can be combined.
