Hi

I need to keep the installed hardware cost down on our little project=20
at the moment. My cabling comes at the developers cost but as soon=20
as I start buying phone eqmt its my cost. So I found a little device=20
called Ultimate 106 which looks like a neat way of handling 6 lines=20
in an area where its too far for me to run round and check if one of=20
my colleagues is in all the other rooms.

fuseaction=3Dproductdetails&ProductID=3D7777&CFID=3D123406&CFTOKEN=3D421972=
92
(url likely to get split and need reassembling)

For an unbelievable =A3150 it does one line in 6 extensions with:

privacy - if the line is busy other phones cant hear the conversation

call director allows a message to offer extension numbers in an=20
announcement, and auto fax direct to a fax extn if it hears tones, if=20
no extn selected it can be set to only ring a subset of phones

individual extension voice mail !!!

can lock out phones from calling numbers start 0,1 - so have a safe=20
public phone without going bankrupt

Call transfer

Internal calls / ringback

Does anyone know any reasons why this wont work given that we dont=20
mind being restricted to one line - seems like for =A3150 it cant do=20
any harm to try it. And even though its says REN is 4, I bet we can=20
get a broadband modem in alongside it okay, or use a booster if we=20
have to.

Any thoughts? (I did have a quick search for this in the archive,=20
but Yahoos search goes it such small chunks now its really hard to=20
look back any distance, so sorry if its been discussed before).

BTW if anyones interested my little project is here:
