You can localise the problem by physically moving the monitor and seeing
where the interference gets worse (as it gets closer to the source) -
assuming it isnt't coming from the mains. If it is the cabling it would
normally only be an issue if very large currents were being drawn this way
-
are they 'heavy' cables ? Is so placing an earthed screen over the cables -
perhaps under the carpet might help. An 'earthed' sheet of thick metal
effectively. The most likely cause is something with a motor in it as they
work using magnetic fields.
An LCD monitor should be OK as they are not susceptible to this type of
interference - (again assuming it is magnetic). If it is from the mains
then
selectively turning things OFF - perhaps via a circuit trip on the fusebox
might narrow it down.. Air Con - Fans ? ??
