Interference

Hi All,

Wondered if anyone here had some idea or could point me in the right
direction of a weird problem we've been having.

For a while now, someone at work has had a pc in their office on which
the monitor screen flickered a lot, as if it was getting interference.

We put this down to a dodgy monitor, (it was 4 years old anyway), so we
replaced it. Didn't fix the problem.
We replaced the graphics card, didn't fix it either. It got us thinking
it might not be the PC, so we moved the pc into another office and the
interference stopped instantly. We moved another machine in there that
was brand new and it started flickering straight away.

We've switched off all other equipment in the room, (including the
lights), and it still keeps going. We think it might be the electrical
cables under the floor as theres a fair pile there, but this is where
we're stuck as we don't have the ability to try and track the offending
cable (or other source) down.

We had an electrician take a look at the cabling underneath, and he
rerouted some of it away, but he couldn't find anything wrong and it
didn't help it.

Any ideas or help on how we could figure this out would be most
appreciated, as its making it hard to work in that office.

Regards,

Tony.
