I read with interest Simon's problems and Paul's advice....I have
similar problems, but lacking network knowledge, essentially I'm
stuck......
Current setup
1 XP PRo pc PC with network card connecting to Dlink 8 port Hub IP
192.168.0.1 (bridge 192.168.0.2)
2 win 2000 Laptop with KCorp wireless pcmcia card IP 192.168.0.100
(assigned by router
3 KCorp Wireless Router connected to Dlink Hub IP 192.168.0.3
Currently only TCP /IP is enabled on all,
I can ping between all no problem, however this is where the fun
starts...
I cannot see any other PC' in windows. On the XP Pro pc clicking on
entire network brings up sub directories "Microsoft Terminal
service" and "web client network" with nothing in.
On the laptop clicking on entire network brings up error message box
stating network not running.
I have tried setting Hosts and LMHosts to no avail, additionally
setting the XP Pc network card to enable netbios still brings up the
following on ipconfig /all.....

For some reason Netbios over TCPIP remains disabled, and of course
running NBTSTAT doesn't find host.
Any ideas appreciated or direction to go as I'm pretty stuck and not
very good with networks.
