Correct - but thats the whole idea.  It checks what the outside
world thinks of your connection.  The connection goes "through"
your
NAT to the target.

To look inside the network you just need a port scanner. The
official tool is nmap, but thats too geeky by a few orders of
magnitude - us "normal" folks can use either Superscan (free)

or WS_Ping
ProPack pro from http://www.ipswitch.com/downloads/index.html
(trialware) - both are adequate.  Theres probably dozens of others.
