Yikes!

Well, unplug that one for a start! - remote management of a router from
the outside is a *baaaaad* idea.

Anyone probing my firewall (please don't) would find that I have port
25 open for SMTP email inbound - it's PATed across to the Exchange 2003
server, which is regularly updated.

Beyond that... I use VPN for everything - I make a VPN connection into
my Vigor 2600V, then normally TS into my SBS server (or use OWA's
webmail)...

The thing I guess is that you won't *ever* be 100% safe - the only 100%
safe PC has no network connection and two armed guards, and event
then...

For the most part, I'd say keep the inbound connections to a minimum
(like using a VPN for everything else) and make sure that anything that
is open is patched and checked regularly.

I.
