Yes, it is essentially giving your PC that functionality. The benefits of
using a PC is that of course it is already a multimedia player, giving
performance that will better pretty much any DVD player on the market.

I use a silicon image pro linked to my projector,

It works really well and the picture is vastly improved.

Is this the same sort of thing? I guess mine was more expensive .. but
then you have to add in the cost of having a spare computer sitting in
the same room as the projector.
