Yep it will work. BUT, it will scratch and because you are putting dark on
light those scratches will be very noticeable, so only suitable for 'low
use' or 'out of reach' areas. These products do not dye but actually coat
(Contrary to what they may say on the tin!) and have excellent chemical
bonding properties to certain plastics.
If your serious about doing this then mail me off-list and I'll give you
the
name of a trade supplier, cheaper than Halfords!

I personally have completely re-coloured a couple of PC's in the past this
way and it works well but is time consuming if you want to do it properly.

You might try a trick used for modding PC cases, apparantly the vynil dye
solds at places like Halfords for restoring the colour of car trim works a
treat on the plastic you get on PC's ....
