RE: [OT] Power Inverter for the Car

I think it may be that the inverter doesn't supply neat sinewave AC like
th=
e
PowerGen do, it's a bit blocky.
This can mess up some bits of kit. Having said that I've got a standard 90W
PC PSU to work with one.

Subject: [ukha_d] [OT] Power Inverter for the Car

Just splashed out =A330 on a 150W Continous Power Inverter (12V) for the =
car
(Maplins Nikkai N64AU).

Intention was to use it to power my laptop via its AC Adapter.

Plugged it altogether but as soon as I plug in the AC Adapter the Inverto=
r
makes a clicking noise and then the red fault light comes on and then
cycles
:-(

I've tried a standard 20W lamp into the inverter and that works fine.

Any ideas or is it just my AC Adapter is incompatible?

Don

PS I tried the AC adapter from the Fuji touchpad and thats the same.
