Reckon you could get Windows 2000 or XP onto a 512card ?

Only prob with Win 16 (Windows 98 etc) is the IP stack limitations - id be
worried it wouldnt stay up long

Not sure you could do exactly that but you could boot from a compact flash
card such as those sold by linitx at
http://linitx.com/products/compact_flash_ide_adapter/.
A 512Mb CF card
would be more than big emough.

I have decided to finally sort out some of my machines,
and have decieded to reuse some old hardware to build a dedicated Homeseer
server.

I would like to run Win 98 in a Ramdisk so the system
could boot from CD and run.

Has anyone contemplated or even done this ? I would back
up config files to a network share so change of config is not an issue.

Cheers

Kevin
