SimplyAutomate:  Will their stuff work elsewhere in Europe (France
for example)?  We have European plugs but I believe the voltage is
the same as in the UK.  I have no idea as regards the Hz...

If not I could, if I absolutely have to, use UK to European power
adaptors where necessary.  I bought my stereo in London years ago
and that's how it's plugged in... I've also got a kettle and a
toaster with the same situation.

Don't a lot of these products work on batteries anyway?

Is the connection where the mains plugs in to the adaptor fairly
standard?  I can easily change those...

I would really be pleased to find a European distributor for X10...
but I'd like some more info before I pick up the phone and call
these guys...
