CCTV cameras - Building an infrared floodlight

Dear all,

has anyone be using any of those infrared floodlights to improve the images
of CCTV cameras in the dark?

I have seen some on e-bay featuring 24 leds. I need to light the front door
so we are talking about a distance of 3-4 meters maximum.

Before I proceed buying such a product (or even build my own) I would like
to see how the pictures would look like.

Can anyone email me such a picture along with a very short description of
the floodlight specs (num. of leds etc)?
