WOW!

Thanks Tim - I've actually solved the problem now by using the kX Project
audio drivers - can get 4 stereo pairs out of a SoundBlaster multi channel
card - all with separate devices so apps can use individual channel pairs.
So low cost Audigy card or similar effectively acts as 4 stereo cards in
one (limited inputs though of course).

Paul.

Paul,

I was going to offer a sensible suggestion to your "HA PC is
full" problem, but I've just checked the price of the gadget and it
wasn't the bargain (tm) I thought it was going to be :-((

Here goes anyway - it's a 3U rack-mount 8-way PCI expansion board. You need
one free slot in your PC for the "controller" card, this will
then provide 8 further PCI slots in an external enclosure, including power
supply. Here's the link:
http://www.adeptscience.co.uk/products/dataacqu/hardware/product/cPCI%20Chassis/327/1/352/product352.html

Price ? You sitting down ;-)

GBP 1700 (it does include free delivery though ;-) )

Interesting piece of kit at least.

Cheers,

Tim H.
(no connection etc.)
