Nick,

Did you say you were testing ZM on one?

I'd be really interested (as would several other here I'm sure) to hear of
your findings i.e. what processor speed do you need to run the 4 cameras,
what frame rates do you get, how much memory do you need, etc.

Cheers,

Paul.

I'll give the same answer I gave on IRC :-)

Add up what you get: (http://www.lex.com.tw/sv823a.htm)

1GHz EPIA M style board (same CLE266 chipset as the VIA board)
- includes all the good stuff like MPEG2 decoder, 6 channel audio, TV out
- oh and this one includes an Intel 82540EM 10M/100M/1G LAN interface

Quad Video in with 4 encoder chips

Compact Flash adapter on board - ideal for embedded solutions

Watchdog timer on board

Hardware Digital Input Output providing 4 input and 4 output

and the key thing this is all in a dimension of 200 x 150 mm

Lex do not produce the same volumes as VIA, so the boards are always going
to be more expensive, but
you do get an awful lot in a small package.

We can get these boards now, so if anyone is interested drop me a line
off-list

Nick.
