Yes the microwave might see the moving branches.........
Can you not look for multiple hits on the pir/ dualtec via Comfort Scripts
before triggering the Alarm system to reduce false alarms?????

I use stranded unscreened ..havent seen the screened alarm cable here in
Melbourne....

Frank,
points well noted.
I had heard of the dualtec sensors being a bit of a b_gger to
set up (probably due to the external sensing you talk about).
We have a lot of wildlife around our place (foxes, pheasants,
deer, etc) so this could be a problem. Mind you presumably
only if the pir detected them too...
btw the windows aren't that big - maybe 600 x 600 each, but
branches waving outside them might be interesting...
I think I'll get one dualtec and give it a try. If it goes off
while I wander around outside the garage then I'll probably send
it back...
Cheers,
John.
P.S. any recommendations on places to get alarm cable from at a
sensible price. I think I might needsome more...
p.p.s. should I be using stranded or solid cores, and screened or
unscreened ??
