EIB is an open standard, though Siemens are probably the largest
proponent.
Schneider Electric own (and have owned for some time) a number of
key brands - Square D who are big in the states, Merlin Gerin who
are big here, and now Clipsal, who are big in Aus et al. Fairly
sensible overall approach to world domination :-)
Not to mention a couiple of competing brands in the PLC and control
marketplace...
