If you can get a fast Internet connection at the event - we could always
ta=
ke a feed from my camera and use that as the webcam (or one of the
sources)=
- that way you get everything I filming (warts and all though!). I've done=
this before - just take a composite feed out of the camera and into a capt=
ure card (or web cam with composite in). Quality is good.

James,

Send me your phone no off list and I'll give you a call - I think I have
so=
me kit which would do what you want.

Only problem is I am only at the meet for Sat and will need to get the kit
=
back pretty quick somehow - anyone any ideas?

Following on, Ian has wandered round the conference areas and has
determine=
d
that "you can, standing on one leg, with your lappy above your head,
in a
one mm square area of the main room, get a wifi connection... as long as
yo=
u
dont breathe" [before his access ran out]

"but certainly.. considering the function rooms are at the very fringe
without an antenna."

"adding even a fairly low gain omni or a little panel antenna would do
the
trick nicely ;)"

So the logical conclusion is... can anyone oblige with some form of
antenna=
?
Looks like we could have a share of 512K ADSL over WiFi for the duration.

Cost is =A315 for 24 hours' access.
