Seriously though, I would actually be more than happy with 512k both ways -
and
of course, always on. I don't do the kazaa thing, so huge d/l bandwidth is
not
a requirement at the moment.
I do, however, want to stream my MP3's from my home network to whereever I
happen to be. Just about did that with 256k upstream (I encode at high
bitrates) but 512 wil give me a bit more head room.
I don't think there's a "killer app" out there yet to take
advantage of these
increasing bandwidths available to the home. TV over IP rather than
traditional broadcasting methods would be an obvious use, but I think we'd
need
much higher bandwith still for this to be a realistic proposition.....
