Hi Peter,
I put the 120GB Maxtor Dimaondmax Plus 9 in my Tivo about a month ago with
=
no problems at all. My WD Caviar 40GB that was making strange noises
finall=
y died last Tuesday (only 2 years old). The new IBM's are a lot better
than=
the old ones since taken over by Hitachi.

Hi all

In the hope that I will still be able to make the meet, I'm just about to
buy the new HD to go into TiVo. From other posts, the general opinion
seem=
s
to be 120GB, 5400rpm, and think twice about the IBMs (which are always
coming out the cheapest). I've found the following, anyone know of
anythin=
g
cheaper, and does anyone else need a drive that can go on the same order??

Ebuyer -WD Caviar - =A388.76
SavaStore - Samsung 120GB spinpoint - =A383.90, Maxtor Diamondmax Plus 9
(b=
ut
7200 spin) 92.47

Pete
