Dave,

Top idea, found www.sempal.co.uk who do a 4-solenoid kit for £76. It has 4
solenoids with 25mm bolt travel. Apparently it just needs a 1/2 second 12v
pulse to close and an inverted pulse to open. Should be able to work that
one out (famous last words).

Thanks,

Richard

Dave,

Deadlocks from cars ? These'd be 12V, but do they actually shoot a bolt or
just engage within the lock mechanism ?

Cheers,

Tim H.

RS Components do loads of solenoids that are very inexpensive, but they are
either push or pull types. I have not found anything that is bi-directional
and does not require power to hold them in one position. Might need to
devise a suitable mechanical arrangement to get this to work with 22
solenoids.

Regards
Dave...
