Mick, what are the shallowest you found. I'm looking for some wall
speakers for past 6 months, but couldn't find the ones that would fit
in only 50mm from the surface of plasterboard.

I have the 6.5" 125.063 in front of me.
I measured 62mm from the face of the plasterboard to the back of the
speaker plus about 15mm (ish)
below - so the total height of the speaker is 77mm. The web site says
this
speaker has a depth of
65mm.
