Just thought of a couple of further questions....

The ceiling consruction downstairs is concrete slab counter battened and
then counter battened again (ie. giving a grid of wood) this was done to
allow for easy rounting of cables in the ceiling. So the question is should
I box in around the speakers to create a small enclosure or should I leave
them open to the whole of the ceiling void?

Also should I put in any acoustic dampening material ?

Thanks
Mick

Paul

thanks for this that is exactly what I was after, I didn't want to be
sending a pile of them back because they wouldn't fit;)

Off to get my tape measure;)

Cheers

I have the 6.5" 125.063 in front of me.

I measured 62mm from the face of the plasterboard to the back of the
speaker plus about 15mm (ish)
below - so the total height of the speaker is 77mm. The web site says
this
speaker has a depth of
65mm.
