Does gprs allow you to view ssl encrypted sites.
I tried on a friend of mines p800 and it never showed the page.
Is there a setting ?

Not at the moment IMO. But it is a bit bulky, not prohibitively so but
it is
larger than the current crop of phones.

You should be able to do that with GPRS.
