Kevin H has done some work with the SitePlayer module - as Ian says,
a native xAP implementation is pretty much impossible because you
don't have unrestricted access to the UDP stack - they layer an extra
wrapper on top you don't want. It's ok at what it does (web serving)
but isn't flexible or open enough for general purpose network use so
far as I can see.
