i updatd to the latest firmware and still get this problem
though i am using no-ip. should i use another ip provider ?

If I remember correctly, I had to update the firmware before this would
work
properly (I had the same symptoms as you).  It now "Just works"
with a
System Uptime of over 2700 hours!
