RE: Xcam2 and battery pack?

>> 2) How long can i expect a set of batteries to last.

About three hours (so they say). The DG380P batteries (see below) last
about an hour according to manuf. specs but are rechargeable and built
in.

>> 1) Whats the general video quality of these cams like, as they are
wireless.

XCam cameras are pretty good for the money, we sell a very steady stream
of them - both the normal ones and the PIR sensor version ("VCR
Commander"). The quality of the wired camera known variously as
"Night
and Day" camera or "AVC 667" blows the XCam away but is a
wired version
- so there's a design tradeoff there. Similarly, take a look at the the
handheld color camera that comes with a rechargeable battery built in
('DG380P') is great because it has some infrared LEDs built in which are
useful for close-up night recognition.

Quality is pretty good, as always being wireless depends on how many
walls
it's got to get through to get to the receiver. The reception is good
over
20-30 feet through walls if you adjust the aerial round and I've had it
going at the end of our garden 120 feet away through some patio doors.
You
can always get the Robocam pan & tilt base for it as well.

Never used the battery pack so don't know.
