will cctv camera video out work on multicore screen cable?

i should have fitted coax in to the loft , but instead installed mutlicore
thinking that this was what was required to run power, video, audio etc.
so,
given that the manual states 75ohm coax, can i get away with using one of
the cores as the central pin on the bnc , and the screen connected to the
outer bnc sheild? the cable is about 15 metres max.
