In my setup I bring all cat5 runs to a patchbay, organised by room. All
service 'providers' are also terminated at patchbays. I then use short
colour
coded patch cables to connect services to ports in rooms.

I'm in the process of extending this to all the RG59 and SAT100 runs - just
built a 2U 44-port F type patchbay!
