Re: Re: [OT] Camcorders
I echo what Simon says - I bought a JVCDVX400 DV Camcorder for =A3400
direc=
t from JVC (Warranty repair). Fantastic quality, takes OK stills (But you
=
are better served with a tiny 3-4Meg Pixel stills camera - Ixus etc.) and
a=
rchiving/editing is a breeze via DV and Windows Movie Maker/Adobe
Premiere.=
I can't recommend my JVC for left-handed operation as it is designed to b=
e run one-(right!)handed.
For =A3250 you can get a decent SVHS camcorder - from Macro etc. or look
fo=
r end of line stuff. As DV comes down in price the analog ones will be
giv=
en away! Try Ebay...
Tim.

Keith,
our hi-8 camcorder gave up, and I was looking for another to replace=20
it, and found http://www.dnhphoto.com/digital%20camcorders.htm
who=20
sell warranty repairs. I ended up buying a digital camcorder with DV=20
in/out, which has turned out to be excellent, although i would advise=20
you to go for a camcorder with image stabilising. Thats my only=20
complaint. The digital editing is absolutely superb - I would=20
strongly recommend the extra few quid for a digital camcorder.
