Ah, interesting :-)

I don't know anything about PAYG sim cards - do you get a new number with
each one - how does that work? Any particular types to look for?

My T610 is on Orange and not unlocked - I guess I need to find someone to
unlock it??? Otherwise I guess I can use my old T68i which is unlocked :-)

Paul.

Assuming your t610 is unlocked:
Why not buy a pay-as-you-go sim card in Portugal and then take Philip's
suggestion?

If I want to connect via my mobile, I guess I would get charged huge
amounts by Orange though???

Hi Paul,

I've used Iberpass (http://www.iberpass.com/) before and
will again.
They've got local access in most countries and it's pretty cheap. You
won't be able to use GPRS with them but if you have to make phone calls
then they will probably be the cheapest option.

Phil,
