It would work but I assume you already had an RGB feed to the Plasma so why
not just put the converter at that end ( or is there insufficient space).
With the VGA feed you would need 5 cables RGBHV as opposed to RGBS

Rather than MAKE a VGA to phono lead I would be inclined to buy an off the
shelf VGA to BNC lead and either fit BNC to PhonoMale adapters or cut off
the BNC's and fit Phonos. I HATE soldering 15HD's.
