I believe the Vigor is the HA'ers choice for routers.

Living in the Broadband wilderness, just 7 miles from Milton Keynes, but
hey - why would we want ADSL in a village..

Rant over.

My wife want to take Maternity leave - she believes being 7.5months
pregnant is good reason - 'suppose I cant argue that. Trouble is she's
my secretary at work. I have convinced her to do 1 day a week from home
for the full duration of her leave.

My idea is to connect to the office via ISDN to the Internet and me be
able to collect files etc. via ADSL at the office end. Not really sure
how to do this, all I do know is I don't want anything directly
connected to the net here, we currently go through one of those little
ADSL routers providing NAT etc.

I've looked at Vigor 2000 2200X 2200WPlus and 2600W - I don't know which
one to choose. I like the idea of the 2000 as I'd be able to call it on
my mobile and initiate a connection which means I could look at my
MV1000 etc at home. But it doesn't do VPN - do I need VPN to connect
between machine over the net ?? - the 2200x offers VPN, but I cant find
this remote activiation facility which I believe I'll need.

Help appreciated

Dean.
