OK.

First thing you need to work out is how you are going to switch it on.
Homevsion, Homeseer, X10 or wired relay?  The next thing you need is a 12v
solenoid water valve.  Then it's just a matter of how you switch on the 12v
required to supply the water.  Give us a few more details and I'll come up
with some ideas.  The one thing you will need to get is a hozelock (or
similar) flow regulator and some drippers.  Don't worry about the hose if
you have some spare garden hose lying about it works just as well.

Going on holiday next Monday ? At last!!!

Need to keep my lovingly cared for herb pots watered (outside). I know you
can get a Hozelock (or similar) watering system but I don't want to pay
huge amounts. Ian's automated system would be nice but I don't have 6 weeks
to make one ! ;)

Any ideas?
