Ah yes - the Americans do air con sooo much better !

Not sure what type of window it would need to fit though. Also looks like
i=
t needs a heavy duty socket to connect to.

The window one I used there was 28,500 btu from what I remember and was
like $600'ish. It fit right in to the window and had these fan like side
bits that expanded to
Fit the window. Worked really well.
The problem I have with a fitted system is that I like in a grade II
listed building and I don't think I have one of those external vents
sticking out. :-(
I have look for the windows ones with no luck, would be great if you had
link :-)

I've seen a couple of window units for sale here in the UK. Can't
remember the site but if you can't find anything I'll have a look
through my history???
Trouble is, you need to modify the window to get them to fit =3D messy and
not a very popular option. May be better to get a properly installed
unit instead. There are a few wall mount units that vent directly
through the wall.
I also can't imagine that the window units are particularly high power
either.
I'm hopefully getting my fully installed unit next week :-) nice-looking
units from Sharp Climate -
